Pricing adjustments based on qualifying regions are automatically made at the time of registration, based on your billing address which must be located in a designated low- or middle-income country. How does USGBC Live operate with environmental sensitivity?
Green building and sustainable events begin and end with accountable measurement. USGBC is proud to operate our events in an environmentally sensitive manner.
For the 2021 USGBC Live, we calculated the emissions related to presenting this digital event, inclusive of streaming all live and on-demand educational content and advance speaker rehearsals and support. Our calculations were verified by a third-party and we are proud to have offset the equivalent of .153 metric tons of CO2 through contributions to the Afognak Island Forest Preservation project.
2022 USGBC Live events will partner with event venues and services that are LEED certified or maintain advanced sustainability practice standards that align with how we prioritize sustainability through LEED. Operational protocols are in place with venues and partners and our event planning prioritizes sustainability at all levels of event design. We ask that all registrants of USGBC events take the voluntary sustainability pledge during registration and do your part to help minimize the carbon footprint of our events. Your pledge and the information you provide on the sustainability page during registration helps us accurately calculate our overall carbon footprint.
