How do I register for a LEED AP with specialty exam?
Log in to your Credentials account using your existing USGBC site user account or create a new account if you do not have one. Click "Account" on the top right, then select "Credentials." On this page, you can select the LEED AP exam you wish to take, then follow the instructions on the screen to complete the exam registration application.
When you register for the exam, make sure your name is entered exactly as it appears on your legal ID that will be used when you take your exam. If your native language utilizes non-Roman characters, be sure to use Roman characters when entering your name in your site-user account and when registering for the exam.
How can I take the LEED AP with specialty exam?
You have two options to take your LEED AP with specialty exam: either at a Prometric Test Center, or through a remotely proctored internet-enabled (online) location of your choice using Prometric’s ProProctor tool. However, note that due to the exam duration of the LEED AP with specialty combined exams, these exams are only available at Prometric Test Centers.
How do I schedule a LEED AP with specialty exam?
Once registered, you will be redirected to GBCI Prometric to schedule your exam at either a Prometric Test Center or at a remote location via a remotely-proctored exam.
You may also schedule your exam by logging into your credentials account and clicking either the blue "Schedule/reschedule exam online" button for a remote exam or the "Schedule/reschedule exam at a test center" to schedule an in-person exam. You will use your EID and the first four letters of your last name to schedule.
After you successfully schedule your exam appointment, you will see a 16-digit confirmation number on the screen, and you will also receive an auto-generated email from Prometric. Record your confirmation number. You will need this confirmation number to confirm, cancel or reschedule your exam appointment.
Once I register for the LEED AP with specialty exam, how long do I have to take the exam?
Once you register and pay for your exam, you have 12 months to schedule and take your exam session. If you are unable to take your exam during your 12-month eligibility period, you may request a one-time courtesy extension of six months. Please contact GBCI before the end of your exam eligibility period to request an extension.
How do I reschedule or cancel my LEED AP exam appointment?
If you want to reschedule or cancel your exam appointment, you will first need to determine if you are eligible to do so by reviewing GBCI’s exam reschedule and cancelation policy. To make any changes to your appointment date, please visit prometric.com/gbci and click “reschedule/cancel.” You will be required to enter your 16-digit confirmation code and the first four letters of your last name to complete the process.
How can I change my test center exam to a remotely-proctored exam?
If you already have an exam scheduled at a Prometric test center and wish to change the delivery method to an online exam, you will first need to cancel your original appointment on Prometric's website and then schedule your online exam, using the same exam eligibility ID (EID).
