Accessibility
The GSC is committed to making our events accessible to everyone. Doing so helps ensure all participants, including those with non-obvious disabilities and/or chronic health conditions and adults of all ages and body types, can fully engage in the program. To help GSC create an inclusive environment and experience, contact help@greenschoolsconference.org if you require assistance or accommodation to fully participate in GSC.
What if I have a student or group of students interested in participating?
The GSC is designed to facilitate the professional development of adult educators, administrators, facilities, district staff, advocates, manufacturers and project teams championing for green schools. The conference programming encourages, amplifies and seeks out the youth voice as it relates to and in support of the green schools movement. While students are encouraged to participate as speakers and can learn from attending education sessions, individuals under age eighteen (18) are required to submit a waiver signed by a parent or guardian to register and individuals under the age of thirteen (13) must receive approval from USGBC to register. Contact help@greenschoolsconference.org to request the form.
What if I need to bring my child with me to travel to this event?
We recognize extenuating circumstances may arise for parents with children who don’t want to miss the opportunity to connect with peers and stay in tune with the latest and greatest in green schools education. To ensure the best learning environment for all, we encourage you to bring a family member or trusted individual to care for your child should your child travel with you. If you require local childcare options, please reach out to help@greenschoolsconference.org. We will do our best to reach out to our venue to get a list of recommended options.
Health and safety
The health and safety of GSC participants is of the utmost importance to the GSC and its show partners, USGBC and GSNN. Masks are not required however attendees are encouraged to mask and social distance based on your personal preference and comfort level. USGBC will communicate all venue or location-specific protocols to attendees via email and the mobile app. For specific questions or concerns, reach out to help@greenschoolsconference.org.
