What is the Green Schools Conference?
The Green Schools Conference (GSC) is the premier education and engagement opportunity for teachers, parents, students, school and district staff, educational leaders, building industry professionals, non-profit partners and others who are passionate about the future of green schools throughout the country and around the world.
When and where is the conference?
The GSC will take place February 17-19, 2026 at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina in San Diego, CA.
Who attends GSC?
Teachers, parents, students, school and district staff, educational leaders, building industry professionals, nonprofits and others passionate about the future of green schools.
What health & safety protocols are in place for GSC?
USGBC continues to monitor federal, local and state regulations, policies and procedures related to COVID-19. Health & safety information specific to GSC will be updated as new developments are made available. USGBC will communicate all venue or location-specific protocols to attendees via email and the mobile app. For specific questions or concerns, reach out to events@usgbc.org.
How much does it cost to attend GSC?
Registration rates will be listed on the website when available. Keep an eye out for early bird rates and the deadline to receive the best price for your pass.
What’s included in the GSC Pass?
When available, the GSC Pass details can be found on the conference website. Historically, the GSC Pass includes access to workshops, summits, education session, networking activities, wellness activities, keynote presentations, and the Best of Green Schools awards and reception.
How do I register?

Will digital content be available to registered attendees?
The GSC prioritizes the in-person experience and will not offer advance or post-event digital content. Sessions presented on-site will not be recorded or available for on-demand viewing. Attendees are encouraged to support and participate in digital events hosted by the Center for Green Schools.
Are scholarships available?
Yes, the GSC scholarship program targets educators and school district staff. When the scholarship opens it will be announced via email and on the conference website.
Do presenters have to pay?
GSC presenters receive discounted access to the conference program. Information about presenter discounts will be included in the 2025 Call for Proposals. Contact program@greenschoolsconference.org
