What is a performance monitoring project?
A performance monitoring project is available to all properties. After you enter your performance-based inputs into the property, the associated performance monitoring project uses the performance inputs to calculate a 0-100 Arc performance score for the selected date range.
- You can enter data in any of the five categories (energy, water, waste, transportation and human experience) to generate a score in that category. You can utilize your category score for comparison to the category score from last month or last year, and to local and global averages. As long as you provide data for a 12-month period, you can generate an Arc Performance Certificate for that category.
- When you enter data covering at least 24 months, Arc will provide an improvement score as well. This allows you to compare the performance of your project against itself for other time periods. You’ll have an indication of how you’re doing against your own internal goals.
- When you enter data across all five categories, an overall Performance Score between 0 – 100 is generated. The performance score is based on the criteria established under the LEED rating system by the USGBC. This utilizes consistent criteria for all places worldwide and offers a true global benchmark.
How are LEED v4.1 O+M projects managed?
Performance data and supporting documentation of a LEED v4.1 O+M project can be managed and viewed in either a project in Arc or LEED Online.
Please see the LEED v4.1 O+M Guide for more details.
What reporting period do I select?
The reporting period is the specific 1-year period (365 consecutive days) Arc uses to calculate each of your five performance scores using your uploaded performance data. You and your team should select the desired reporting period based on the available data and your specific situation and goals. For LEED requirements, be sure to refer to the appropriate section of the appropriate guide (e.g., for LEED v4.1 O+M, your reporting period must end within 60 days of submitting for review).
Options include:
- Last 12 months
- End of calendar (January 1 - December 31)
- Custom date range: this is available to all Arc Essentials subscribers (and projects registered for LEED certification within the last year, or projects certified within the last 3 years)
Pick the reporting period in Arc as shown below.
