Where do I go to nominate someone for the LEED Fellow?
To nominate someone, you must write a nomination letter. The nominee is responsible for submitting the names of their endorsers and all application components as listed in the LEED Fellow Handbook. View information on submitting a nomination.
Can the nominator also be an endorser for the same nominee?
No. The nominator cannot also be an endorser since they will have already provided a recommendation letter for the nominee. One person cannot write more than one statement for each nominee. However, a nominator can act as an endorser for a different nominee.
Can one endorser provide endorsement letters for multiple nominees?
Yes. Endorsers can provide an endorsement letter for multiple nominees.
Can I nominate one person and be an endorser of another?
Yes, you can nominate one person and be an endorser of a different nominee. Remember, any one individual cannot be both a nominee and a nominator. Nominators may only nominate one individual each year.
Can a nominee use multiple endorsers from within the nominee’s firm?
Only one of the four mastery element endorsers can be from within the nominee’s firm. It is important to remember that evaluators are looking to see that nominees have far-reaching impacts that affect the LEED market, and not just within the nominee’s own firm.
Can a LEED Fellow nominee also nominate another individual?
No. A nominee cannot be a nominator during the same year they are a nominee.
Can a LEED Fellow nominator nominate more than one person?
No. A nominator can only nominate one person per year. If, however, a nominated person declines, the nominator may then nominate another individual.
Can a LEED Fellow nominator also be a nominee?
No. If an individual has nominated someone, they cannot be nominated in the same year.
Are endorsements from LEED Fellows weighted more heavily?
Nominees are encouraged to seek out endorsers who can speak directly to their impacts on LEED. Evaluators will consider both the credentials of the endorser as well as their relationship to the nominee when evaluating a statement. A LEED Fellow who does not have direct knowledge of the nominee’s impacts would be less helpful than someone who is not a LEED Fellow but does have this direct knowledge.
Can the Nominator, Project Experience Statement Writer, and one of the mastery element endorsers all be from the nominee's organization?
Yes, the nominator, project experience statement writer, and only one of the mastery element endorser may all be from the nominee's organization.
