What is a USGBC Pro Reviewer?
USGBC Pro Reviewers are experts in green building and sustainability who review courses on USGBC's course catalog. They provide detailed feedback to the course creators, as well as on the course page, evaluating the education content and technical quality of courses. This feedback helps the course creators improve their education and helps other users decide whether or not the course is a good fit for them. Apply to become a Pro Reviewer.
What are the responsibilities and benefits of being a USGBC Pro Reviewer?
Pro Reviewers must commit to reviewing at least five courses annually. A complete review consists of two parts: a front-facing review publicly available and visible on the course page, and a follow-up survey with a detailed review for the course creators to help improve the course quality. Both parts of a review must be completed, and Pro Reviewers are expected to fulfill their review commitment during the course of the year before their subscription is renewed for the next year
Pro Reviewers are given complimentary access to the subscription and are encouraged to use it to fulfill their continuing education needs. Additionally, Pro Reviewers will be labeled as such in their course comments and their USGBC profile, helping elevate their stature in the green building community.
What are the qualifications to become a USGBC Pro Reviewer?
USGBC Pro Reviewers must:
- hold a LEED professional credential
- have been in the green building or sustainability field for at least two years.
- not be involved with an Education Partner as a course contributor
It is also helpful to be connected to USGBC through volunteering, a member company or USGBC local community, and to have experience with online education. However, this is not a requirement to be accepted as a Pro Reviewer.
