How do I register my LEED project for recertification?
USGBC currently offers two recertification options, but only one is available for all previously certified LEED projects. For recertifications, the registration fee is waived.
LEED v4.1 O+M recertification is a data-driven pathway for all occupied and in-use projects that have previously achieved LEED certification under BD+C, ID+C, or O+M. To get started, navigate to the previously-certified project in LEED Online, and click the 'Recertification' button on the Details tab. Contact us if you do not find this button (do not register a new project).
LEED v4 O+M recertification is available to projects previously certified at least once under LEED O+M. To get started, register a new LEED v4 O+M project in LEED Online and select the checkbox to indicate that this project has already been certified (you will be asked to enter the project number of the project’s prior certification). Unlike v4.1, this path requires a new registration (creating a new ID number) and project teams should add 'Recertification' to their project name and select the option to 'pay by check' to generate an invoice [wire / SEPA payment in Europe]. Send a copy of the invoice to info@usgbc.org and our Billing team will zero the invoice.
