How do team members gain access to a project in Arc?
If you believe you should have access to a particular project and you don’t, any team member already associated with the project profile can add you to the project profile in Arc. If you have questions, you can also reach out to the Arc team at contact@arcskoru.com with the project name, address and/or project ID number of the building or space you are looking to engage with. For more information on the subject, see Tips & tricks on how to access your project in Arc & build an Arc project team.
As noted there, if the building has changed hands since it was last certified, completing a Change of Owner Agreement will facilitate the updates needed to add new team members. To learn more about completing a Change of Owner Agreement, see the FAQ 'Can we change owners post-certification, and what is the process?' in 'Access and changes in LEED Online after certification'.
How long is the recertification performance period (called the “reporting period” in v4.1)?
For v4.1 projects this is called the “reporting period” and it is 365 days long.
For v2009 and v4 O+M projects the recertification performance period extends from the date the previous certification was awarded to the date of the recertification application. The performance period for new credits pursued during recertification under v2009 and v4 is the same as for initial certification (for most credits, a minimum of 3 months).
Are projects required to track data for the entire recertification performance period (called the “reporting period” in v4.1)?
For v4.1 projects, project teams demonstrate compliance with performance tracking requirements outlined in the latest LEED v4.1 O+M Beta Guide. Some categories (e.g., Energy Performance) require data from the full 365 day reporting period whereas other categories (e.g., Transportation Performance) may be satisfied with data from a shorter time period, as long as it falls within the reporting period.
For v2009 and v4 O+M projects, project teams demonstrate compliance with performance tracking requirements by providing a representative dataset during the certification process. The general categories of data used to document credit compliance are as follows:
- Data from the entire recertification performance period;
- Data from the most recent 12 months of the recertification performance period; and
- Data from the most recent 25% of the recertification performance period.
If a project team falls out of compliance with an ongoing tracking requirement during the performance period, they should demonstrate that corrective action was taken to re-comply with the requirement.
For credit-specific guidance on data tracking, please refer to Table. 1 Credit Compliance Guidance in the LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance Recertification Guidance.
If a project wants to earn LEED v4.1 recertification, do they need to achieve a minimum score of 40 out of 100 in every performance category?
No, the minimum performance score only applies to initial certification under v4.1 Operations and Maintenance. To achieve LEED v4.1 recertification a project needs to submit data as outlined in the v4.1 O+M Guide in all five performance categories and achieve a total minimum of 40 points. Note that for the surveys, to be considered as submitting complete data, the minimum survey response rates must be achieved.
