- If a project has submitted for or completed precertification only, will this count as the one stage of review for a project applying for certification prior to the sunset date?
What is the process for using the precertification worksheet?
The precertification worksheet replaces credit forms to help streamline documentation requirements. Any information or documents that you would have previously submitted through the credit forms will now be submitted under the 'Precertification' tab. The only required action on the 'Credits' tab is to identify the credits your project is pursuing by marking them as Ready for Review.
Steps for submitting for review using the new precertification worksheet:
- Download and complete the Excel worksheet template:
- Upload the completed template and any necessary supporting documentation.
- Attempt and mark credits you are pursuing as Ready for Review on the Credits tab.
- Submit for review.

If a project has submitted for or completed precertification only, will this count as the one stage of review for a project applying for certification prior to the sunset date?
No, precertification is an optional review in the LEED building certification process and does not count as a phase of review when considering submission and certification sunset deadlines for all LEED rating systems.
